'The Voice': John Legend feels 'a pinch of stupidity' after losing Paris Winningham
Steals and saves are a part and parcel of NBC's popular singing competition show- 'The Voice'. Every time a member from one of the coach's teams is stolen or saved by the other coaches, it's an extremely emotional moment not just for the contestant but also the coaches. Season 21 of 'The Voice' featured coach John Legend fighting his fellow coaches to get Paris Winningham on his team.
The EGOT winner, unfortunately, had to let go off Paris during the knockouts round from his team. Paris was pitted against his fellow Team Legend contestant- Jershika Maple. Despite the 32-year-old's incredible performance, John named Jershika as the winner of the knockouts round, leaving Paris at the risk of getting eliminated from the show. Luckily for Paris, the show's OG coach aka Blake Shelton swooped in to save him. Blake used his only steal option to steal Paris from John's team and add him to Team Blake. It looks like Blake's decision to steal Paris is paying off, as he continues to belt out jaw-dropping performances week after week.

Thanks to his incredible vocals and range, Paris managed to make it to the Top 13 on the show. Now the Florida resident is eyeing for a spot on the Top 11. It is dedication week on 'The voice' and the contestants have to pick a song and dedicate it to a person they love and mean something to them. Paris decided to dedicate his song 'What's Going On' to his grandparents. Paris once again continued his streak of belting out flawless performances. Towards the end of his performance, the coaches had to give their feedback. When John was asked for his feedback, he admitted that he feels a "pinch of stupidity" for letting go of Paris from his team, and described his performance as magical. On the other hand, a very smug Blake declared that Paris is no longer a secret and that America is catching on to how good and cool he is.
Fans too seem to agree with the coaches and couldn't stop raving about Paris's performance on Twitter. A fan tweeted, "Paris Winningham has the grit and intensity to bring some gravitas to this lyric while keeping it swinging and lighthearted. This sounded really great. Mans can sang! #TheVoice #VoiceTop13." Another fan wrote, "Paris just doesn’t miss. Flawless vocals week over week. #VoiceTop13 #TheVoice." "Good singing, Paris Winningham. You have “winning” in your name. #TheVoice," pointed out a fan.
