From the get-go, Joshua Vacanti has consistently impressed both the coaches and audience on 'The Voice'. From getting John Legend to use his block button to serenading everybody with his mind-blowing performances week after week, Joshua managed to position himself as a strong contender to win 'The Voice' Season 21. So, when he failed to secure a spot amongst the top 5 performers to compete in the competition's finale, saying that fans were shocked and upset would be a huge understatement.

Although Joshua gave a heartwarming performance to Celin Dion's 'Ashes' in a bid to secure enough votes from the audience to move to the top 5, unfortunately, he failed to get enough votes. So, this put him at the risk of elimination. Even though he got another opportunity to earn a spot in the finale by competing for the instant save vote alongside Jim & Sasha Allen, Lana Scott, and Jershika Maple, he, unfortunately, lost to Jershika and was eliminated from the competition.

When fans saw that Joshua failed to make it to the finale, they were really upset. Several fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure with the audience voting. A fan tweeted, "Joshua going home makes #TheVoice look like a big joke. Also makes the voters tone deaf." Another fan wrote, "So, Jershika has one good performance and makes it to the finale, yet Joshua has been great every week and he goes home? Sounds like a joke to me. #TheVoice #VoiceResults." "WHY IS JOSHUA GOING HOME?! HE IS SO SO TALENTED BULLSH*T #TheVoice," commented an angry fan.

"Oh my heart … Joshua I’m so sad to see him go but i know broadway will be calling him soon as this shows goes off #TheVoice," expressed a fan.
