'The Voice' Knockouts: Katherine Ann Mohler's poor song choice gets her eliminated

For Katherine Ann Mohler joining Team Ariana and being coached by none other than the pop icon Ariana Grande herself pushed her to step out of her comfort zone and experiment with her vocals. This prompted the young performer to make the bold decision of picking Bell Biv DeVoe's 'Poison' for her knockouts performance on 'The Voice'. It was a pretty risky move and Katherine was hoping to both shock and impress the coaches with her bold choice.

Unfortunately for Katherine her bold risk backfired as the coaches weren't entirely impressed with the arrangement of her song. While all the coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and Ariana, praised Katherine for her song choice, they felt that her opponent Bella DeNapoli had an edge to her performance which unfortunately she didn't possess. So, when it was time for Ariana to pick the winner she picked Bella instead.

Ariana felt that Bella had a lot of potential. Since none of the coaches pressed their steal button this meant that Katherine's journey on the show came to an end. Although fans were sorry to see Katherine's journey get cut short so early on, they all agreed with Ariana's decision and felt that Katherine's poor song selection cost her dearly. A fan tweeted, "Katherine is talented but that song was not it for her. It didn’t fit her voice well in my opinion. #TheVoice." Another fan wrote, "Katherine is going home with these vocals. #VoiceKnockouts #TheVoice." "Katherine did not choose the right song for her voice i feel bad #TheVoice," echoed a fan.

Another fan commented, "John was the only one telling the truth about Katherine that sh*t was a mess. #TheVoice." "Bye katherine #TheVoice," declared a fan. Another fan expressed, "Katherine knocked herself out on that one! What in all the Caucasianasity was that!! #thevoice."
