'The View' host Sunny Hostin roasts 'gazillionaire' Kylie Jenner's 'poorer' boyfriend Timothee Chalamet
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: As ‘The View’ Season 27 continues in full swing, the co-hosts discussed the recent celebrity couple who have taken over the headlines - Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet.
As ‘The View’ co-hosts discussed why Chalamet and Jenner are considered an odd couple as Sunny Hostin slammed the Columbia dropout Chalamet. Hostin also said she wasn't happy with this "implication" that she's dumber than Chalamet.
Alyssa Farah Griffin goes on to admit at one point during the debate that they're just 'roasting' the 'Dune 2' star.
'The View's all-female panel also applauded Jenner for the business empire she has created over the years.
The main point of discussion, however, remained the question of whether or not Chalamet and Jenner had anything in common.
What do Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet have in common?
Whoopi Goldberg introduced the segment to her co-hosts on ‘The View’ and said, “So, apparently this is also happening. Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet are apparently dating, and people are concerned because they don't understand what they could have in common.”
The co-hosts then responded with their guesses.
Joy Behar said, Well, they're both famous. They're both pretty. Let's see, what else?” Sunny Hostin added, “They're probably attracted to each other.”
‘The View’ co-hosts take a dig at Timothee Chalamet
As the conversation about the two celebrities and their relationship continued, Sunny Hostin pointed out, “What I don't like is this implication she isn't as smart as he is, and that's why. I'm sorry, she's like a gazillionaire. Didn't she start a business worth $750 million?"
"She has more money than she is, his net worth is $25 million. Why is she considered the dumb one?” she added.
Joy Behar responded that is it because of the kind of “movies he makes.” She also added, “But he didn’t write the script, he’s an actor, he’s reading people’s lines, it doesn’t make him the great intellectual, sorry.”
Hostin added, “He did go to Columbia…but he didn’t finish.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin laughed at Hostin’s comment about Columbia and said, “Now we’re just roasting Timothee Chalamet, we’re like he’s poorer than Kylie.”
Sarah Haines spoke more on Chalamet and Jenner’s compatibility, “They’re both the same age, they probably have a lot in common.”
As the discussion continued, Goldberg concluded the segment and said, “Unless you know the people, look at your own relationship, see how well it’s doing.”
