LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sara Haines was recently praised for some brilliant parenting advice she gave on Instagram. Fans are often enamored with Haines’ family of five, including her husband and three children. ‘The View' host has also made a video about mental health and what got her through difficult times, never failing to impress her fans.

This time, however, fans didn’t seem too impressed with Haines after she shared some dating advice on Instagram. At 45 years old, Haines has some unique and unconventional dating advice passed on to her that includes dating more than one person at a time, and her followers have shown their disappointment with it.

‘Three is the magic number’

Haines’ Instagram post was captioned, “When it comes to the early days of dating, THREE is the magic number,” with a video of her talking to her followers, as she explained this dating advice. Haines said, “I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but I once got some great dating advice. It said – at any one time, you should always be dating three different people. And the reason being, I don’t know if all women are like me but I intend to invest probably too much time and energy into one person. By spreading out your energy waiting for phone calls, texting, interactions, and going on dates, you never care that much or lean too hard on one, which just keeps some great perspective for those early days, of whether you like someone or not. So always maintain dating multiple people. Three was the magic number I was told, let’s see if it works.”

‘You’re not single’

Haines’ comment section was flooded with fans who disagreed with this dating advice. One person told Haines, that if anyone would agree with her, it would be the found of Playboy Magazine as they commented, “Hugh Hefner would agree with you.” Another commented about Haines already being married with kids, “Why are you sharing/telling us ‘dating’ advice now? You’re not single…but married ten years with kids.” Men also gave their perspective on this dating advice as they wrote, “As a man I disagree. Women need full attention at all times…ONE at a time.” Some people simply labeled this advice gross, as one commented, “Gross advise!!” In addition to these comments, people have begun questioning Haines’ marriage. One person wrote, “Your husband is good with you dating three people??” and another asked, “Does this mean you and your husband are poly?” Haines has not responded to any of these comments since she posted the dating advice.
