'The View' host Ana Navarro slammed for calling Ron DeSantis 'whiny and one-hit-wonder': 'You're describing yourself'

'The View' host Ana Navarro received backlash on social media after she called Florida Governor and GOP candidate Ron DeSantis a 'one-hit-wonder'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Florida Governor and 2024 GOP candidate Ron DeSantis has been the most frequently talked about person when it comes to 'The View' co-host Ana Navarro’s Twitter. Navarro has also taken to Instagram and Threads to talk about DeSantis from time to time. This has only increased tenfold as the presidential race gets closer.

Over the last few months, despite claiming to be a Republican, Navarro has shown more support toward Democratic President Joe Biden than any other GOP leader, which has often angered some people on the internet. In Navarro’s latest tweet, she called DeSantis “awkward,” “whiny,” and a “one-hit-wonder” amongst other things.

‘One-hit-wonder’

According to the Morning Consult, Donald Trump holds a big lead over his GOP rivals, including DeSantis, Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy. After the news broke, Navarro retweeted a tweet that claimed DeSantis’ aides have acknowledged that they had spent too much money and will make further changes to recover from the disappointing polling numbers of the Republican Primary. Navarro responded to the news and wrote, “Yes, please, let “Ron being Ron.” It has him 30 pnts behind and has revealed him to be a thin-skinned, vindictive, awkward, weird, whiny, repetitive, one-hit wonder, whose only political skill is to create manufactured culture wars that include the word “woke” in every sentence.” The internet hasn’t responded well to Navarro’s tweet, which seems to have backfired on her.

‘It’s hysterical’

The first thing people have pointed out is Navarro’s claim to be a Republican, which has become a repetitive question amongst her followers. One social media user wrote, “He’s a governor and you are talk show host that pretends you were or are a “conservative”.  It’s hysterical since Ive never heard a single conservative thought spew from your big mouth.”

Another person fat-shamed ‘The View’ host after her transformation and wrote, “And you're fat.. what's your point?” Some people even labeled Navarro’s tweet as ‘bullying’ as one tweet read, “Your language is bullying. i thought @twitter didn't allow for this!”

People on the internet began comparing Navarro to DeSantis as one wrote, “He’s won five of five elections to public service positions … you’ve never had an ounce of real responsibility in your life.” Another said, “You are A zero hit wannabe!!” One social media user wrote, “You’re describing yourself.”
