After dating for a little over a year and a half, Colby Kissinger was ready to marry the woman of his dreams- Madlyn Ballatori. While Colby is eager to be known as 'Madlyn's man', unfortunately, his 24-year-old girlfriend was still unsure about him. This led to Colby issuing an ultimatum to his girlfriend, which in turn brought them on Netflix's new dating/ social experiment show 'The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On'.

In her introduction, Madlyn revealed that she didn't believe in the concept of there being 'only one person for everybody, and was also feeling pretty intimidated by making the big decision of spending the rest of her life with one person. So, to get clarity on what it would be like for her in other relationships, Madlyn open-heartedly embraced the 'The Ultimatum' experience of getting into a trial marriage with another person before making the big decision of whether she was ready to spend the rest of her life with Colby or not. It didn't take Madlyn too long to find a new man as she found herself feeling strongly attracted to her co-star Randall Griffin on the Netflix show.

Just like Madlyn, Randall too was on the Netflix show because his girlfriend Shanique Imari had issued an ultimatum to him. After he kept trying to push away the topic of marriage by citing financial stability as an excuse to not settle down just yet. Both Madlyn and Randall admitted in their confessionals that they would be open to marriage but only if they met the right person. The duo hit it off almost immediately and grew closer during their trial marriage period. While Randall felt that Madlyn gave him the space to open up and express himself, she, on the other hand, felt an intense attraction to him and realized that he was totally different from Colby.

When Madlyn introduced Randall to her friends and family, they all instantly took to him and began slamming Colby. Everybody kept advising Madlyn to ditch Colby for Randall. As Madlyn was toying with the idea of taking her relationship with Randall more seriously, the couple got into a huge fight over Colby. Later, when Madlyn moved in with Colby after her trial marriage with Randall, they initially got into a lot of arguments. But after Madlyn realized that Colby listened to her and was paying attention to her needs, she began warming up to him.

Towards the end, we see Madlyn feeling torn between picking either Colby or Randall. She expressed her confusion to her mother and pointed out how Colby would treat her like a queen and make her his priority, which she wouldn't get from Randall. On the other hand, while she was attracted to Randall, she couldn't help but feel that there was some spark missing there. Just as Madlyn was warming up to deciding to marry Colby, the couple got into yet another heated argument when he refused to take responsibility for hooking up with another girl and telling her that he was in an open relationship. Madlyn was upset over the fact that Colby kept blaming it on her instead of taking responsibility for his actions. Towards the end, we see Madlyn declaring that she wasn't going to marry Colby as she can't be with a person who keeps blaming her for everything and also felt that it was a matter of self-respect.

While this may tempt us into believing that Madlyn might get back with Randall and leave the show with him, we wouldn't be so sure about it. Considering the strong history between Colby and Madlyn, we wouldn't be surprised if she decides to get back with him and give their relationship another chance. We will just have to wait and watch to see what Madlyn decides.

'The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On' premieres on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Netflix will be dropping the episodes in two parts- the first eight episodes will be available for streaming on April 6th, while the finale and the reunion episodes drop on April 13, 2022.
