'The Talk': Shania Twain reveals she has already written songs for Post Malone, Lizzo and Janelle Monae, but 'they don't know it yet'

She revealed on the talk show that she has written one song for her and Post Malone to sing together and another one for a collab between her, Lizzo and Janelle Monae after hitting it off with them.
UPDATED NOV 28, 2019

Country singer Shania Twain, has a supply of songs in her cupboard that we don't know about! On the guest spot on 'The Talk' on November 26, the conversation veered toward her recent AMA Awards performance - one of the highlights of the event.

Twitter had already gone crazy over "super fan" Post Malone dancing his heart out to 'Man! I Feel Like a Woman'. The ladies on 'The Talk' couldn't resist showing Shania the viral clip of him grooving to her song, drink in hand.

After commenting, "how cute is that!", Shania revealed that she already had a collab song written and ready for Post. "I've written a song for us already. He doesn't know it yet. He knows now. So Post, I have a song for us."

Twain then spoke about striking up a friendship with Lizzo and Janelle Monae, who are also big Shania fans, after meeting them. "There is a really cool friendship starting between us and after I met those ladies, we got up on stage, very impromptu. I kind of pulled them up there... We all had a really great time.

"So I was very inspired after that. I went home and I actually wrote a song for the three of us. I did!," Shania said giggling. When Carrie Ann Inaba, one of the hosts on 'The Talk', asked her what it was about, Shania was quick to reply.

"It's called 'Sisters' and I think we are all sisters in what we do, and it was a really great, new friendship that we started. And so I went home and wrote that song. They don't know about it yet."

Shania also spoke about her moment of solidarity with Taylor Swift whose winning streak at AMAs was preceded by her Twitter-fuelled feud with Scooter Braun and Big Machine around performing her old hits at the AMA awards.

Shania said she and Taylor had previously bonded over wine and cheese at Taylor's house and so she took a moment to chat backstage with Taylor at the awards event. "I wanted her to know how proud I am of her, that was a big night for her. I wanted to talk to her and personally congratulate her and say bravo, you rock. You really are a champion. I love you."

Could we expect a collaboration between them too?

'The Talk' airs Monday through Friday at 11 am PT.
