FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE: A Fresno mom has devised a method for making eating out (or dining in) with the kids simpler. Berlyn Haughton seeks a Shark for The Table Tyke, her "revolutionary" silicon placement for children, in 'Shark Tank' Season 15.

The Table Tyke is intended to keep your child safe at dinner while making cleanup easier for you! The removable positioning keeps spills contained while also allowing for convenient roll-up storage on the fly.

The Table Tyke is a woman-owned small company. Their goal is to create goods that simplify life for adults and provide safety for children. This allows everyone to have more fun!

In the hectic world of parenting, when every minute is a new adventure, Berlyn, a Fresno mom, made a creative leap to simplify meals with The Table Tyke.

This revolutionary placemat, created out of a mother's need, has become a game changer for parents looking for a stress-free eating experience with their children.

What is The Table Tyke?

Berlyn's inspiration for The Table Tyke came from the difficulties she had whether dining out or at home with her young boys. Recalling the early days, she says, "When our boys were younger, especially at that 6-month age when they're kinda just bobbing around, they'd always hit their mouth on the table edge."

This prevalent problem inspired her to create a solution that would not only protect infants from table-edge bumps but also provide extra benefits.

The Table Tyke has a unique bumper that protects children from inadvertent bumps while also acting as a teething help with its raised edges. Berlyn underlines, "If they're teething because the bumper is raised, and we have raised edges as well.

If they do spill, their lap stays dry." The smart design ensures that the waste is confined, making cleanup simple.

What distinguishes The Table Tyke is its adaptability. From lunch to arts and crafts, this silicone placemat is a multi-purpose lifesaver for parents.

Cleanup is as simple as washing off spills, and its user-friendly design allows it to be conveniently folded up and packed in diaper bags or handbags, making it an ideal companion on the road.

Who is the founder of The Table Tyke?

Berlyn, the developer of The Table Tyke, told ABC30, "When our boys were younger, especially at that 6-month age when they're kinda just bobbing around, they'd always hit their mouth on the table edge. My husband and I would literally take turns holding our hand across the table edge, so the boys wouldn't hit their mouth."

So, when Berlyn couldn't locate a placemat meant to prevent this, she created her own: The Table Tyke. Berlyn earned a bachelor's degree in communication and media studies from Loyola Marymount University.

"The bumper protects them from table edge bumps and if they're teething because the bumper is raised, and we have raised edges as well. If they do spill, their lap stays dry," she said.

"Your table edge stays protected, and then all the fun sort of stays contained. Then you can pick it up, walk to the sink, and shake it out."

Regarding portability, she continued, "You can roll your Table Tyke up, hook it closed. It fits in diaper bags and purses."

That's something she showed in her debut TikTok video.

"I leaned my phone against a bottle of olive oil and talked about the mat. I posted it, didn't think anything about it, and I just had notification after notification of orders coming in," Berlyn said.

The video connecting to The Table Tyke website would receive over 300,000 views on its first day.

The Table Tyke, a woman-owned small company, exemplifies Berlyn's dedication to making life easier for adults and safer for children. Her entrepreneurial spirit was fueled by a desire to build a profession that was both exciting and fulfilling.

After more than 10 years in Corporate America, the birth of her children fueled this ambition.

Where is The Table Tyke now?

Finally, The Table Tyke exemplifies how real-life obstacles motivate innovation. Berlyn's path from a mom looking for a solution to a successful business exemplifies the power of creativity and persistence in positively impacting the lives of parents and their children.

The Table Tyke is more than simply a placemat; it represents streamlined meals and increased family experiences. Berlyn is most likely looking for assistance from a Shark to break into the retail industry.

Who will steal the deal?

We believe Berlyn will end up with Lori Greiner as her partner. Lori has invested in other silicon goods over the years, so she possesses the manufacturing expertise to take this firm to the next level.

Berlyn may receive other proposals, but our money is on Lori.
