The Rape of Two Coreys: Did Corey Haim endure years of sexual abuse in Hollywood which began when he was 11?

Corey Haim struggled with fame and everything that came with it before tragically passing away in 2010.

The Canadian actor had already become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood by the time he was a teenager, thanks to his stunning performances in 'Lucas', 'Silver Bullet', and 'Snowboard Academy'.

However, his biggest break came when he starred alongside fellow child star Corey Feldman in the 1987 blockbuster 'The Lost Boys'. 'The Two Coreys' -- as they came to be known after working alongside each other in nine movies -- even starred in their own show under the same title.

But Haim's life was sadly tainted by drug addiction and financial woes despite his stellar fame and success -- so much that at one point the tragic star tried to sell his own hair and teeth online. Haim, a self-confessed "chronic relapser," also made headlines when he alleged he was sexually abused as a child.

The erstwhile Tinseltown superstar died in his mother's home in 2010 when he was just 38. According to reports, he was suffering from pneumonia and had consumed a concoction of several prescription drugs at the time.

A life of abuse

Despite being at the pinnacle of his fame, Corey's addiction to drugs started hampering his otherwise illustrious career. The movie star once admitted that his struggle with addiction may have stemmed from the abuse he sustained as a child. Corey was just 11 when he was allegedly raped behind a vanity van on the sets of 'Lucas'.

Feldman, who had become close to the talented actor, also alleged that the Two Coreys were suffering under the yoke of a secret Hollywood pedophile ring when they were teenagers.

"He had more direct abuse than I did," Feldman said, recalling what his friend went through after his death. "With me, there were some molestations and it did come from several hands, so to speak, but with Corey, his was direct rape, whereas mine was not actual rape."

"And this also occurred when he was 11. My son is 11 now and I can't even begin to fathom the idea of something like that happening to him. It would destroy his whole being," the Stand By Me star mused.

According to Feldman, several famous figures in Hollywood were aware of the abuse they were going through.

"This person uses intimidation and threats as a way to keep people quiet. And all these men were all friends," he told The Hollywood Reporter of Haim's unidentified abuser. "Ask anybody in our group of kids at that time: They were passing us back and forth to each other. [Alison Arngrim] from Little House On The Prairie said [in an interview], 'Everybody knew that the two Coreys were just being passed around'."

Actor Dominick Brascia, a friend of Haim, once accused Charlie Sheen as the man behind the 1986 rape on the sets of Lucas, saying the former child star had confided in him about the encounter. “Haim told me he had sex with Sheen when they filmed Lucas," Brascia said.

The actor and director added that Haim later told him he had consensual sex with the 'Young Guns' star again in his mid-20s. However, the 'Platoon' star -- who is now 52 and battling HIV -- has always denied the allegations.

Haim's mother Judy responded to the claims when they emerged, admitting her son was abused on the sets of Lucas -- but she said it wasn't Sheen. "I would have known if anything was wrong," she told Dr. Oz. "My kid hid nothing, he was like transparent."

Haim did not talk much about the abuse he suffered during his terribly short lifetime. However, he did concede it had a lasting impact on him.

"Stuff happens when you are a kid, it scars you inside for life," he once said.
