BERN, SWITZERLAND: The ongoing biographical drama on Apple TV+, 'The New Look,' unfolds against the intricate world of beauty and runway.

Created by Todd A. Kessler, the ten-part series uncovers the nuances of the personal lives of renowned fashion designers Christian Dior (Ben Mendelsohn) and Coco Chanel (Juliette Binoche).

As previously shown in the show, Coco goes into self-exile in Switzerland out of fear of a public backlash over her association with Germans.

However, she is left perplexed when she learns that the Wertheimer brothers are duplicating her perfume.

Driven by an intense desire to reestablish her career, the fashion designer resolves to file lawsuits against her previous partners.

Coco, who is already coping with a slew of problems, is in desperate need of money since her hotel bills are stacking up.

The manager asks her to clear her dues but the designer ignores him and proceeds to lunch with wealthy Swiss women.

She is, however, taken by surprise when she encounters her frienemy, Elsa Lombardi (Emily Mortimer), who belligerently threatens to reveal her German connection if she is not paid.

Elsa subsequently informs her about the upcoming celebration in the hotel honoring Pierre Wertheimer, her erstwhile business partner (Charles Berling).

Coco, who was preparing to file a lawsuit against him, decides to face the man at his party but is sadly turned away because Wertheimer had already made the guest list and wished for her to be left off.

After being turned away from the party, Coco was unexpectedly approached by Pierre. The two swiftly engaged in a heated battle of words, with Coco accusing him and his brother of duping her.

The man reminds her that they expanded their business while Coco was always attending parties. He also threatens her with exposing her Nazi ties to the public, which will exacerbate her already wretched situation.

Coco tears up as she walks out of the room after hearing his threat.

Later on in the evening, Pierre visits Coco's room to explain to her that his brother is the one who can fix her situation and that he is powerless to help.

Coco, paying little regard to Pierre's statements, seductively requests that he do something since she wants money.
