Set in 1943, the period when Nazi control was at its pinnacle in Paris, Catherine Dior's (Maisie Williams) increasing participation with resistance forces disturbs Christians.

After successfully killing Nazi officers with her clever ploy, Catherine and her resistance companions, Hervé (Hugo Becker) and Jean (Noé Besin), find shelter at Christian's apartment.

Christian was initially reluctant to keep Hervé and Jean on his property. Still, when Catherine chose to accompany them, he asked her not to do so and allowed others to remain, demonstrating his affection for his sister.

As their talk progresses, Catherine begs her brother not to work for the Germans, but he responds that if he stops, he will become bankrupt and will be unable to pay for their resistance efforts.

The brother-sister duo was later seen bonding, with Catherine asking her brother not to worry about her.

The episode continues with Jean being apprehended by Nazis, who cruelly torture him to get the identity of his collaborator.

After discovering that Jean and other pupils would be executed, Catherine and Hervé devised a strategy to rescue him.

Christian tries to persuade Hervé not to send Catherine on the dangerous task of delivering secret communications, but he refuses.

Later, when he visits to sew the damaged dress of a Nazi wife, she informs him that she willingly tore her dress to meet him as she is Catherine's old schoolmate and does know that she is a member of resistance forces.

She informs him that the Germans do know about Catherine's involvement with the resistance forces but are unaware of her name.

She urges him to save her before the Nazis get to her. A worried Christian hurries to leave the party, and simultaneously, it is shown that Catherine is abducted by unknown assailants.
