Actress Kaye Ballard has died at the age of 93. The actress who wore several feathers in her crown including being a singer and a comedienne died of a brief illness at her home in Rancho Mirage, California. The Cleveland-born actress' death, whose actual name is Catherine Gloria Ballota, was confirmed by her longtime attorney, Mark Sendroff.
Her death was a little unexpected since only this month she had made an appearance at the screening of the documentary, 'Kaye Ballard: The Show Goes On', at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. The actress, who was known to have first recorded the popular song, 'Fly Me to the Moon', was best known for her role as Katherine “Kaye” Josephina Buell on the show 'The Mothers-in-Law'.
