'The Masked Singer': Will the Crab eliminate himself from the competition at end of Group B Finals?
'The Masked Singer' eliminated and unmasked YouTuber and boxer Logan Paul during last week's performance and we already have an inkling about which masked celebrity will be sent home next on April 7. The remaining Group B performers - Chameleon, Black Swan, Piglet, and the Wildcard contestant Crab will take to the stage for the Group B Finals soon.
All of them are good performers and it will be fun for audiences to see the judges shift in their seats as they make a decision to send someone from these brilliant performers home. But it seems like it won't be required as the trailer for the episode hints at a possible self-elimination.

Delivering a high-voltage performance, the crab has all the judges up on their feet enthusiastically cheering for him. He can sing, we know that much from the last week's show and this week too was no different and the judges' reaction says it all. But right after, when the judges were settling down in their chairs to break down a new clue package about the Crab, the masked singer calls upon stage staff in a state of panic.
It appears that the crab had overheated under his top to the bottom eloquent costume which looks like it's made of PVC. The Crab with his high energy moves and the singing raised the temperature in the auditorium but it looks like his hotness turned him into a hot mess resulting in him frantically requesting the stage staff to help him take his mask off. This is not the one-off incident of this nature on the show. Just last season Mickey Rourke who was the Gremlin, self-eliminated even before the results were announced. Apparently, the heat inside the costume got too hard to handle and he just threw his headgear to the ground, exposing his identity.
Who is Crab on 'The Masked Singer'?
There is a high likelihood that "The Crab" is New Edition bandmate Bobby Brown because the masked contestant spoke about struggling with family issues in his clue package. Brown has endured a lot of tragedies in the past couple of years. From the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston in 2012 to the death of their daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown in 2015 and then his son Bobby Brown Jr dying due to an overdose in November 2020 -- Bobby Brown has seen it all and he fits the description of someone who as endured "trauma" like the Crab mentioned on the show.
'The Masked Singer' airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on FOX.
