What day and time will 'The Masked Singer' Season 8release? And everything else you need to know
‘The Masked Singer’ fans can celebrate as FOX has officially renewed the singing competition series for season 8. The news isn’t much of a surprise considering how successful the show has been running for the past seven years. The renewal comes shortly ahead of the Season 7 finale. The latest season has certainly been the most controversial to date due to the appearance of the former mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani. The former mayor made headlines when he appeared as Jack in the Box and his reveal prompted judge Ken Jeong to walk off stage.
Craig Plestis, the show's executive producer, said at Deadline's virtual Contenders event that they're working to make Season 8 bigger and better. The producer said, "It's a challenge to outdo ourselves and to come up with some things that are going to sparkle and get America excited. I think there are some ideas that we're playing with FOX that are going to be super exciting and the first time that we ever see something." With some fresh changes to the format of the show, the FOX singing-talent show is definitely upping the ante.
