'The Masked Singer' Season 2: It was Laila Ali under Panda mask and fans claim they knew it even as judges stayed off the mark
Nobody likes to see a sad Panda but sadly when 'The Masked Singer' Season 2 returned for a new episode on October 2, the Panda was the third celebrity to go home.
'The Masked Singer' witnessed the Black Widow, Panda, Leopard, and Flamingo stun everyone with their performances. The judging panel - Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Ken Jeong - returned to their seats, all ready to guess who might be under the masks.
Post an impeccable faceoff, the two masked singers in the bottom two were the Panda and Leopard. After the Smackdown, the votes were once again tallied and revealed. Saved and returning next week was none other than Leopard, leaving the Panda to be unmasked.
Prior to revealing who the Panda is, the judges' final guesses were Martha Stewart, Queen Latifah, Venus Williams, and Ronda Rousey. Little did they know, that all four of them would be wrong. Unmasked, the Panda went on to reveal that it was none other than undefeated boxing champion Laila Ali, the daughter of undefeated champion Muhammad Ali.
Though the judges were far from guessing who was under the Panda mask, fans claim that they knew it all along, with a few predicting it even before the Panda was unmasked.
Taking to Twitter, a fan wrote, "OMG Panda is L Ali and that was my damn first guess and then switched to Williams. Ok so I take that as a win! LOL #MaskedSinger."
Adding to that another said, "someone give me 20 bucks. i was so right about Laila Ali being the panda #maskedsinger."
"yup I called it #maskedsinger I got two right, I called Egg (Johnny Weir) last week and now Panda (Layla Ali) this week..." said a fan. While another added, "Layla Ali I knew it once she said match #Panda #maskedsinger."
