'The Masked Singer': Jennifer Holliday unmasked as Miss Teddy, fans say 'what a shame'

With her velvety voice and fluffy costume, Team Cuddly's Miss Teddy became an instant hit among 'The Masked Singer' fans. So when Miss Teddy ended up getting eliminated during Group B's semi-finals and was unmasked to reveal iconic singer Jennifer Holliday, fans were left feeling devastated.

Following Lemur (Christie Brinkley) and Hydra's (Penn & Teller) elimination, the remaining three members Miss Teddy, Armadillo, and the Ringmaster battled it out for a spot in the finale. Unfortunately, the audience voted out Armadillo and Miss Teddy from the competition. Armadillo was unmasked as Dog the Bounty Hunter. Which meant that the Ringmaster would be competing against Team A's finalist Firefly in the finale. Though fans were happy with the Ringmaster's win, they were however sad about Miss Teddy's elimination.

Several fans took to Twitter to express their unhappiness with the audience's decision. A fan tweeted, "I am happy I don't watch #TheMaskedSinger. they are always kicking out the best singers. How is #jenniferHoliday kicked out? who votes, the judges or the public?" "Miss Teddy should’ve won! #themaskedsinger," declared a fan. "Disappointed that Jennifer Holiday is going home but this is the same show that sent Chaka Khan home. I love #MaskedSinger but go figure. (shrugging shoulders) #TheMaskedSinger," added a fan.

Another fan shared, "Just sad that all the diva legends get unmasked every season, what a shame! #TheMaskedSinger." "Shame on that audience for letting Jennifer Holliday get voted off. All of you owe me an apology. #TheMaskedSinge," expressed a fan. "How do they get so many legends on #TheMaskedSinger just to vote them off????!!!!!" wondered a fan. 

The upcoming episode of 'The Masked Singer' will feature five new performers representing Team C. The winner of Team C will battle it out with Firefly and the Ringmaster on the show's finale.

'The Masked Singer' Season 7 airs every Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX.
