Episode 7 of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' begins on a rather ominous note. We see Abe being cornered by two women at the tobacco store and they seem to know an awful lot about him and his family. Who are they? What do they want? Well, the answers to that lie in this quick rundown below, so keep on reading!

Episode 6 of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' Season 4 saw Rose attend a luncheon held by the Small Business Women's Council while Sophie Lennon was trying to convince Midge to open for her show. Rose reaches the venue to find only four other women there, Benedetta, Gitta, Molly, and Miss Em. Following the curt introduction, Rose is shocked to know the reason for the gathering.

Breaking it to her that there is no Small Business Women's Council, Benedetta goes on to disclose the true nature of the meeting. All four women at the table have been matchmakers for years and following a spell of wars, they had divided Manhattan into territories to maintain peace and equilibrium, with Gitta handling matchmaking for the Jews. Given that the Melamids are Jews, Rose agreeing to offer her services to the family goes against their rules, making the matchmaking quadruple warn her of the ill consequences that would follow if she were to continue in this line of business.

After finding out that Rose is yet to quit, Gitta and Molly track Abe down, resulting in the grim meeting at the tobacco store in Episode 7 of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' Season 4, titled 'Ethan...Esther...Chaim.'

Asking him to use his influence over Rose as a man before they take his "manhood" from him, they warn Abe to make Rose stop being a matchmaker. Abe flees from the store, hiding in a Catholic Church where he ends up taking communion. Finding his way back home after "serpenting" through the streets, running into random shops, and diving in between cars,  Abe briefs Rose about the horrible day he has had, before confessing to her of taking communion.

'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
