'The Hills' star Kristin Cavallari spills tea on how ex Jeff Dye got arrested on coffee date
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kristin Cavallari is spilling the beans on a recent coffee date with ex Jeff Dye that did not go as planned.
On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, on an episode of her 'Let’s Be Honest' podcast, the former reality star opened up about her coffee date that took place in Los Angeles and she stated that the first 72 hours of her week in the city of were full of rugby players and one arrest.
The 'The Hills' star revealed, "I had the second one-night stand of my entire life. By the way, before you guys want to f**king judge me … I’m almost 37 years old, this is the second one I’ve had in my entire life."
The next morning, she decided to meet an ex for a coffee. She didn't reveal the name of her ex-boyfriend. However, it seems like she was talking about comedian Jeff Dye, per US Weekly.
As per Kristin, Dye arrived late for the date and stated he was kind of drunk. She disclosed that a cop came into the coffee place looking for him. He was arrested by a police officer on the spot and he was booked for driving under the influence and fleeing the scene of a traffic collision and driving under the influence.
Cavallari recalled on the podcast, "I go, ‘Can you guys tell me what is going on?’ One of the police officers goes, ‘There was a report of a hit-and-run down the street and he matches the description of the guy.’”

Why did Kristin Cavallari and Jeff Dye split?
Kristin and Jeff called it quits in March 2021 after five months of dating.
The two of them were first romantically linked to each other in October 2020 after they were snapped getting cozy in Chicago.
At that time, an insider claimed, "They were never officially together. Kristin is doing her own thing and focusing on building her brand Uncommon James,” per US Weekly.

Kristin and Jay crossed paths in 2010 and, in 2011, he popped the big question to her. They called off their engagement after 3 months but soon reconciled. Then, Cavallari shared that she broke off the engagement as she saw some red flags.
During an episode of the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast that aired in August 2022, she revealed that the reason behind their split was “so much bigger than” the former NFL star wanting her to be a stay-at-home mom, which she claimed at the time so that she could “move on.”
Cavallari said, “Basically I called off the engagement [for] the same reason I got a divorce, and so I guess if there’s any takeaway from that is you can’t ignore red flags. People don’t change, and you’ve got to trust your gut.”
They tied the knot in 2013 and split in 2020.
