Now that Memo 618 has been introduced, and its sinister implications made clear, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) is going to be making it her personal mission to find out just what it is — and more importantly, how to stop it.

It's going to be a difficult job to pull off, as anyone who could tell Diane about it is unlikely to acknowledge that it even exists. Diane's never been one to give up easily, however, pursuing the mystery of Memo 618 might just get her in way over her head.

Last week's episode was delayed due to post-production adjustments that needed to be made in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The show resumes this week and the promo for episode 2 shows that Diane's pro-bono case for Marta Tecades' (Andrea Navedo) Mexican restaurant continues.

Tucker Nugent (Lawton Paseka) bulldozed the restaurant despite a direct order from Judge Julius Cain (Michael Boatman) under the anonymous safety brought to him by Memo 618.

Now Diane will be going up against Louis Canning (Michael J Fox) once again, but this time with Judge Charlotte Hazlewood (Tamberla Perry) presiding — which gives Diane an advantage.

Judge Hazlewood has secretly been dating Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo) and in the promo, we see Adrian leak the words "Memo 618" to Diana, a lead on her investigation.

Pulling at that thread is the only recourse Diane has to keep Tucker from using it again, but Diane quickly finds herself in hot water as she presses Judge Hazlewood for answers.

Meanwhile, Reddick, Boseman & Lockhart moves on to a new case, the discussion of which brings up a major problem for one of the partners. According to the official synopsis for the episode, "When DNC head Frank Landau asks Reddick, Boseman & Lockhart for help with a plan to engage African-American voters, the resulting discussion turns personal for one of the partners."

Debates at a law firm tend to be rather heated, and with a subject as sensitive as race being the focal topic, a heated argument may quickly ramp up to an explosive one. With Diane occupied with her case, which of the partners is this discussion going to affect the most?

The next episode of 'The Good Fight' airs on April 30 on CBS All Access.
