When will 'The Good Doctor' Season 4 winter finale air? Here's what to expect from Shaun's first loss
ABC's hit medical drama 'The Good Doctor' Season 4 just premiered a month ago and four episodes in, the series is already taking time off for their official mid-season break for the winter. Leaving fans shocked and absolutely torn over how short this mid-season run was, Dr Shaun Murphy, his girlfriend Lea, and the rest of the characters are going to visit our screens one last time next week before returning all the way at the end of January, or later, presumably. The winter finale of Season 4, which will be Episode 5 titled 'Fault' will air on Monday, November 30, at 10 pm on ABC. According to the official synopsis presented by the network, the episode will put Shaun on quite the spot, as it teases "Dr Murphy questions his decision to give the new residents autonomy when an intern's misdiagnosis has dire consequences; a patient has a ruptured cyst affecting key functions of her brain; Dr Morgan Reznick and Park bond over failed relationships."
The teaser promo also shows Shaun spiral into a bit of a setback and reach out for Aaron Glassman's expert advice and none of it is relationship woes this time. Aaron can be seen telling Shaun and sometimes people fail and maybe this (whatever goes wrong in the coming episode) was one of those times for Shaun. The young senior resident looks struck with despair and that's a little disheartening considering he was so brimming with pride and surprise over his junior residents acing at their new jobs. But at least the highly debated relationship between him and Lea is taking time off from grabbing all the spotlight so critics who are not at all a fan of the two can rejoice when the winter finale rolls by.
We also can't help but notice that Morgan and Park are sparking something as they bond over failed relationships. And that coming immediately after Morgan offered Park to move into her amply spaced home does give off strong vibes that maybe there's more than just being roommates in their arc this season. Hope that makes the wait for the thrilling winter finale even more unbearable!
