HALSTEAD, ENGLAND: The latest series on Netflix, 'The Gentlemen,' is set against the corroded backdrop of the criminal underworld.

The eight-part series, created by Guy Ritchie, delves into the realm of drug cartels, unfolding the narrative of the protagonist, Eddie Horniman (Theo James), as he becomes entangled with them.

In the premiere episode of the series, Eddie is left utterly shocked as his brother Freddy Horniman (Daniel Ings) unexpectedly takes the life of Tommy Dixon (Peter Serafinowicz).

In the second episode titled, 'Tackle Tommy Woo Woo,' Eddie decides to protect his brother from imminent danger by perpetrating Tommy's murder on the sole eyewitness to the crime, Jethro.

Tommy's associate and the lone witness to the murder, Jethro, flees for his life after Tommy is killed in cold blood.

Eddie, Freddy, and Geoff Seacombe (Vinnie Jones) attempt to locate him in a forest, as the young man skillfully manages to convey an ambiguous message to Errol (John McGrellis).

However, he is soon apprehended, and Freddy tosses his phone into a nearby pond. In response, Eddie formulates a scheme to accuse Jethro.

He intends to capture Freddy's apology video, as requested by Tommy, to convince his brother Gospel John (Pearce Quigley) that Tommy was present and safely left.

Eddie consents to pay Jethro two million pounds and arrange for his relocation to Australia, ensuring his safety from any potential harm.

The following day, John visits Horniman Mansion with a group of fellow criminals to find out Tommy's whereabouts.

The brothers claimed to be unaware of Tommy's whereabouts and mentioned that they felt Tommy had a grudge against Jethro. To make their story more credible, they show him Freddy's apology video, sowing the seeds of suspicion about Jethro.

Nevertheless, they successfully shifted the blame onto Jethro by strategically placing the murder weapon next to a body that Eddie had killed, discreetly stowed in the trunk of Jethro's car.

John once again visits the brothers and declares that he knows Jethro is the one who killed his brother and he will surely avenge Tommy's death by killing him

'The Gentlemen' is now streaming on Netflix.
