HALSTEAD, ENGLAND: The spin-off of the 2019 movie of the same name, 'The Gentleman', is an impeccable blend of excitement and gangster swagger.

The series, created by Guy Ritchie, tells the story of Eddie Horniman (Theo James), a military captain who unexpectedly inherits his father's dubious businesses and his ancestor's properties.

It was revealed in the first episode that Tommy Dixon (Peter Serafinowicz) was murdered by Eddie's drug-addled older brother, Freddy Horniman (Daniel Ings).

In the second episode, Tommy's criminal family—who are eager to exact revenge on their brother—is portrayed in the aftermath of Freddy's reckless decision to shoot Tommy.

In the aftermath of Tommy's murder, Eddie and Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario) were left grappling with the dilemma of what to do with Jethro, the lone witness to the crime.

The young man attempts to flee in a bid to save himself, but they swiftly catch up with him. However, just before he is apprehended, he manages to convey a cryptic message to Errol (John McGrellis).

Noting that neither Tommy nor Jethro ever returned, Errol tells Gospel John (Pearce Quigley) that something may have occurred with Tommy.

They decide to pay a visit to the Horniman Mansion to further investigate Tommy's disappearance.

Eddie and Freddy pretend they don't know where Tommy went. To cover up, they tell others that there was a fight between Jethro and Tommy, hinting that Jethro might be the reason for Tommy's disappearance.

Following their plan, Eddie decides to collect Jethro's passport so that he can be sent overseas, but after being attacked by one of John's men, he kills the man in self-defense.

With his cunning tactics, Eddie strategically places Tommy's murder weapon beside the dead assailant in Jethro's car trunk.

John, accompanied by his associate, pays the brothers a subsequent visit and subtly implies that they now suspect Tommy was indeed murdered by Jethro.

However, But they kept wondering how Jethro could get a good English rifle and use it to kill Tommy. In response, the brother explained that Jethro had taken the weapon from them, which reassured the gangster.

He does, however, ask them to keep the weapon with him until he uses it to execute Jethro.

'The Gentlemen' is now streaming on Netflix.
