Actor Logan Williams, who played a young Barry Allen in the CW’s “The Flash,” died on Thursday (April 2) at the age of 16. The cause of death has not been given.

Grant Gustin, the lead actor on the show, expressed his grief and shared a photo with William and co-star Jesse L Martin during the filming of the series pilot in 2014.

“Just hearing the devastating news that Logan Williams has passed away suddenly,” he wrote. “I was so impressed by not only Logan’s talent but his professionalism on set. My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family during what is I’m sure an unimaginably difficult time for them. Please keep Logan and his family in your thoughts and prayers during what has been a strange and trying time for us all. Sending love to everyone.”

Williams was born in Vancouver, Canada. According to IMDb, he landed his very first audition at age 10 for the movie 'The Color of Rain', where he starred alongside Warren Christie and Lacey Chabert. He had several TV projects to his name including appearances in 'Supernatural' and 'The Whispers'. He also acted in 'When Calls the Heart,' a Hallmark TV series starring Erin Krakow, Martin Cummins and Lori Loughlin. He played Miles Montgomery, the son of Chelah Horsdal’s character Cat Montogomery, in 13 episodes.

His mother, Marlyse Williams, confirmed his death to the Tri-City News of British Columbia. She couldn't help but remember how her young son was on his way to becoming a well-known actor, having won best actor awards and a nomination as Best Newcomer during the UBCP/ACTRA awards in 2015.

His talent manager, Michelle Gauvin of Performers Management in Vancouver, British Columbia also provided a statement to The Post: “We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss. Logan was an exceptional talent, with a kind heart, and an infectious spirit,” she said. “We will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”

John Wesley Shipp, who played Barry Allen in CBS’ 1990 to 1991 version of “The Flash” and the character’s father, Henry, in the newer CW drama expressed his condolences on Twitter. "He was 100% committed to playing young Barry Allen, and we missed him once we moved past that part of the story,” Shipp wrote. “Love and compassion to Logan’s family and friends in your grief.”
