'The Cleaning Lady' Episode 3: Fans left 'heartbroken' as Thony watches her son suffer

Thony cannot catch a break as once more her son Luca's life is on the line after his condition worsens

'The Cleaning Lady' returns with a new episode which sees our protagonist Thony De La Rosa (Élodie Yung) have a crisis that forces her to take up a job cleaning the crime scenes of the syndicate under the gangster Arman (Adan Canto).

In exchange for medical help for her sick son who needs special medical treatment, Thony a talented doctor has to stay in Las Vegas as an immigrant when her visa expires. Previously on 'The Cleaning Lady' Thony was approached by the FBI who later feel that she could be a confidential informant for them. At the same time, she falls deeper into the syndicate making her double life even harder to juggle. So read on to know what went down in the third episode of the FOX drama and what fans thought of it.

Right from the beginning of the series Thony's son Luca is what causes her to do the crime cleanups she doesn't want to as Arman provides the resources needed for getting her child's treatment for his rare disease. The third episode saw Luca about to undergo a medical trial but bad news comes in the form of the doctor saying that he needs a liver transplant because if organ failure occurs the whole trial may be shut down. This leaves Thony distraught and desperate as once again her son's life is on the line. She doesn't have the resources required for the transplant making for a sad scenario for the distressed mother. 

Fans who caught the recent episode were left heartbroken for Thony as they hated seeing her in this predicament. Add to it the sweet scenes featuring Luca and the viewers empathized with the mom as they felt for her and her son. This is what they had to say.

A viewer said, "Now this baby needs a liver Transplant. I'm just so... my heart breaks for this woman. She cannot win. This poor baby! #TheCleaningLady", while another commented, "omg no luca :( #TheCleaningLady". A tweet read, "Luca is Armans son now. I don’t make the rules #TheCleaningLady". 

A fan commented, "GIVE THONY AND LUCA A BREAK MAN POOR KID NOW NEEDS A LIVER TRANSPLANT #TheCleaningLady", as another added, "LUCA PROTECTION SQUAD HE IS JUST TOO ADORABLE #TheCleaningLady". A tweet read, "I know Arman and Thony ain't on good terms right now but my bby Luca needs a liver transplant so I'll call Arman for her #TheCleaningLady".

'The Cleaning Lady' returns Monday at 9 pm ET on the FOX channel.
