LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The second episode of 'The Brothers Sun' ended with the entry of a mystery girl and a terrified look on Bruce Sun's face. Meanwhile, Charles and Eileen were on a mission to trace the gang who was behind multiple attacks on them.

While Charles believes that Sleepy Chan is the mastermind behind all the violence against them, Eileen has her doubts.

Bruce Sun gets kidnapped

A mystery woman with tattoos kidnaps Bruce (Sam Song Li) from school and takes him to a deserted location. Charles (Justin Chien) and Eileen (Michelle Yeoh) come to know about the kidnapping from Bruce's classmate, Grace.

The woman introduces herself as June, the sister of May, who was killed at the club. She has an impression that Charles has killed May and she is now looking out for revenge. The rather tough woman softens up as she ends up having a heartfelt conversation with Bruce.

Charles Sun wants to negotiate with Sleepy Chan

While Eileen sneaks into the giant dead man's home to get information, she finds herself caught up in a situation. A man with a red ribbon shows up but Eileen, with her clever tactics, saves herself. Meanwhile, Charles gets on a call back in Taiwan and mentions that he wants to discuss peace terms with Sleepy Chan.

Charles also gets a call from Alexis, the Deputy DA who also happens to be his childhood friend from Taiwan. Alexis invites him for lunch and asks him to name the gang that attacked the club in exchange for saving him from trouble.

Eileen Sun takes the charge

Charles is unconvinced that his mother could handle risky situations but she proves him wrong with some sass. A mahjong game with a bunch of ladies turns out to be more fruitful than trained spies. Charles and Eileen learn about Tony Tang, a man who runs "Number 1 seafood restaurant."

Charles tracks down Bruce, and just as tensions rise between him and June, Bruce intervenes to diffuse the conflict. Through thoughtful conversation, Bruce helps June realize that Charles lacked any motive to harm May.

June joins the mission

Charles and Bruce bring June home and they all have a comfy meal together. Eileen connects the dots between Tony Tang and Sleepy Chan. June says that she'll join them in hunting down the leader of the Red Ribbon gang.

The episode ends with visuals of Tony Tang being dead in his office. The viewers are left with another mystery revolving around a cop being part of the Red Ribbon gang.

Does the Red Ribbon gang work for Sleepy Chan? With the murder of Tony Tang, is the danger about to multiply for the Sun family? Will Sleepy Chan come to LA to negotiate or to kill Charles? Hopefully, the fourth episode will settle our curiosity.

'The Brothers Sun' is streaming exclusively on Netflix.
