Guess A-Train (Jessie T Usher) lives to see run another day, although he wouldn't be too thrilled about the circumstances of being brought back to life. 'The Boys' Season 3 gave the audience a major jolt with 'Herogasm' and also seeing the speedster's heart stop after he grazes Blue Hawk to death by zooming across town. By the end of the episode, he was looked at as one of the characters who kicked the bucket, only to have survived.

Episode 7, titled 'Here Comes a Candle to Light you to Bed' shows Usher's character recovering in the hospital with Ashley (Colby Minifie) congratulating him for getting through the ordeal. She reveals that there was a story concocted behind his survival where he tried to save Blue Hawk after the Herogasm mess that saw Soldier Boy blow up the entire venue and kill a few supes in the process. It is revealed that A-Train received Hawk's heart via transplantation and that he is not at risk of death should he use his powers.

Ashley also goes on to tell him that he would be rebranded with a new outfit and would star in a film with Tom Hanks playing his mentor. While A-Train struggles to find answers, the merry PR for Vought continues to chatter away with her plans for the supe. With this, the season shows that both A-Train and Maeve have been kept alive for now, suggesting that they may probably pull through this season alive. However, the reluctance of A-Train might just put him in Homelander's crosshairs again.

A-Train being alive still doesn't necessarily clear his image as a supe who did good, and perhaps the death might have been a redemption of sorts after he was partially responsible for Supersonic's death. Adding to this is the respect he would have gained from his community, but with a whole new look awaiting, it remains to be seen whether he's welcomed as a hero or someone who's just there to fill up the Seven.

'The Boys' Season 3 Episode 7 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
