'The Boys' Season 3: 5 things to know about Amazon Prime Video's hit superhero series
'The Boys' Season 3 is all set to premiere in June, and among the slew of theories and updates is news of Billy Butcher becoming a superhero himself. The series picks up after the events of Season 2 that see a relatively quiet Homelander. Butcher is now working for the government, and the new edition is all about an anti-superhero weapon that sends them on a war footing. Plus, there's also the whole Soldier Boy storyline.
There have also been theories that 'The Walking Dead' star Jeffrey Dean Morgan could be joining the cast, with showrunner Eric Kripke revealing that he's already discussed a role. 'Supernatural' star Jensen Ackles shared his thoughts on the new role as Super Boy. He shared what Kirke had told him then- “‘Look, this role is on the radar for a heavy Season 3 appearance, and they’re looking at a shortlist of names.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, where am I on that shortlist?’ And he said, ‘You’re not on it.’ Then he read me a few of the names and I was like, ‘No, I wouldn’t be on that list!’ So, this wasn’t something where Kripke just called and said, ‘Hey, come on over.’ This was something I had to fight for, and luckily it worked out.”
And on that note, here's everything we know ahead of the new season premiere.
