Contains spoilers for 'The Boys' Season 3 Episode 6 'Herogasm'

As 'The Boys' Season 3 hurtles to an end, the series sees the death of major characters, and of the few supes who kick the bucket in 'Herogasm' is Jessie T Usher's A-Train. The speedster who played a pivotal role in the first couple of the seasons of the hit Amazon Prime Original finally succumbs to the heart condition that would kill him if he used his powers. Call it a meaningful of sorts as he finally atones for the murders and sins he's done since the pilot season.

The episode sees the adaption of the Herogasm comic storyline by Garth Ennis. For those unaware, it is an annual orgy held by Vought to let all the Supes on the planet relax for a week. With Blue Hawk as one of the attendees, A-Train arrives at exact revenge after the former paralyzes his brother after originally supposed to apologize for his racial discrimination. A-Train's pleas to Ashley to take care of Hawk fall on deaf ears, and he takes it on himself to kill the supe, and he does at the cost of his own life.

'The Boys' Season 3 Episode 5 Review: Of Soldier Boy, strained relationships, and unexpected romance

With Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) blowing up the orgy event, killing and wounding supes fatally, Blue Hawk manages to make it out alive only to run into A-Train who grabs him by his legs and speeds across town grotesquely scraping the supe's body on the road, but that causes his ticker to fail as he collapses and dies of a cardiac arrest.  While his fate isn't shown further, it's safe to assume that he may have indeed died. If at all he's dead, his character gets some sort of nirvana as he fights for a cause and sacrifices himself perhaps for the first time.

Season 3 was all about A-Train carving an identity for himself and the desire to be appreciated — the second leading to the death of Supersonic. Despite the act, he still gets snubbed by Homelander (Antony Starr) and Ashley along with the public who shame him for not aiding and doing his job for his community. With the speedster now killing Blue Hawk who disrespected his people, A-Train will surely be remembered as a hero who stood for the values he believed in.

'The Boys' Season 3 Episode 6 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
