The Boys Season 3 Episode 4: Will Queen Maeve and A-Train die in this installment?
Contains spoilers for 'The Boys' Season 3 Episode 4 'Glorious Five Year Plan'
Killing Homelander (Antony Starr) has been one of the major storylines of 'The Boys' Season 3. Episode 4 continues with that plan badly backfiring. Alex/Supersonic's death at the hands of Seven's leader also signals the beginning of the end for some of the other key supe members. Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) has been plotting against killing the Alpha member of the supergroup for almost a season now, and she's far from attaining any success.
The new season also saw her reach out to Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and share her plan of killing Homelander. She gives him enough vials of V24 — a version of compound V with the effects lasting just 24 hours. Butcher uses it to extract information out of Gunpowder before lasering him in half. After the devastating events of the Season 2 finale, Maeve is more determined to stop Homelander even if it means risking her own life. Episode 4 titled 'Glorious Five Year Plan' shows how she realizes her days are numbered as she tells Starlight (Erin Moriarty) that she's preparing for the inevitable.

'The Boys' Season 3: Violent, complex, and comical, Eric Kripke's supe show comes out swinging
One of the scenes sees Maeve training in her quarters and Starlight approaches her to ask if she's fine-tuning her skills. The disillusioned and cynical supe tells her she's preparing for the day when she has to go toe-to-toe against Homelander, the consequence of which she already knows the answer. Add to this is Supersonic being killed by Homelander after learning of his plan to work with Starlight. This suggests that he would stop at nothing to kill the ones plotting against him, and that would mean the death of a major supe.
The other victim could be A-Train, who has taken the brunt of Homelander's snarky remarks. He's been snubbed right through the season, and while he feels he's earned brownie points for betraying Supersonic, he's still pretty much in his boss's radar who's all but ready to make an example out of the speedster. Given the route the show's taking this season, it does appear we'll have at least a few more supes being killed off.
