‘The Blessing Bracelet' is a well-rounded film that attempts to be inspirational without coming across as pretentious. It's a film about blessings in general, in addition to the great ones. When Dawn listed her four blessings, one of which was just owning a car, it was a touching moment. That, in addition to the message, hooks you somewhat to the concept of a blessing bracelet. Counting off blessings for each bead caused Dawn to reflect more profoundly and frankly on them. The narrative almost always stays in line with her personality and is beautifully performed. Why is Dawn working two jobs?
To keep her family from falling apart after her ex-husband abandoned them, Dawn alternates between working at a veterinary clinic during the day and serving tables at night. She must perform two jobs and launch a side business selling blessing bracelets to simply survive as well as provide her teenage son a roof above his head. She has struggled to make ends meet despite pulling herself up with hard work and sacrifice.
