CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: FX's critically acclaimed series, 'The Bear', offers much more than drama in a restaurant's kitchen. Its mastery over the depiction of layered emotions, personal journeys, and relationships is what truly impresses the audience.

'The Bear' returned with Season 3 on Thursday, June 27, 2024, and took us on another exciting journey packed with comedy, drama, and adrenaline.

This season has also offered one of the most emotional moments of the series.

Episode 8 of Season 3 brings the focus on Sugar aka Natalie Berzatto (Abby Elliott), who is in her final trimester. She endures labor pain while running some errands for the restaurant.

Unable to get through Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Pete (Chris Witaske), or anyone close, she ends up calling her mother, Donna Berzatto (Jamie Lee Curtis).

In the previous seasons, we have seen how the Berzatto siblings shared a strained relationship with their mother, owing to her addiction to alcohol and unstable behavior.

Natalie acted as an anchor for the entire family, trying to diffuse the tension and keeping everyone close. However, there came a moment when she too had enough and finally decided to focus on herself.

Her mother arrived at the hospital instantly when nobody else could. It followed some heartfelt conversations between the mother-daughter duo.

Donna has always struggled with open communication with her children. Her addiction strained her relationship with the family to a point where things seemed irreparable.

In Season 2, Natalie didn't inform Donna about her pregnancy, which deeply hurt her. However, along the way, Donna came to understand the reasons behind Natalie's decision.

During this moment at the hospital, they attempt to repair their relationship by opening up about their bottled-up feelings. Donna says that she is working on her problems which makes Natalie happy.

With Donna's determination to change her lifestyle and control her behavior, we can expect improvements within the family.

However, it would still take Carmy a lot of time to come around as he's the one who is most distanced from Donna.

'The Bear' Season 3 is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+.
