'The Bachelorette' Season 18: Fans praise Michelle for asking Chris Sutton to leave
It isn't a season of 'The Bachelorette' without a few men taking on the role of the villain. While some are subject to bad edits, for example, Thomas Jacobs from Katie Thurston's seasons, others seem entirely okay with taking on the role of the villain entirely. And Michelle Young's season already seems to have three.
After Ryan Fox's drama came Jamie Skaar's questionable behaviour, and now it's Chris Sutton's turn to throw a tantrum. After speaking on Michelle's behalf during the previous rose ceremony, Chris S was upset that Nayte was selected for a one-on-one date, plus Michelle didn't take him aside for any solo time during the group date. His grand solution? Crash Natye's date instead.

Michelle was clearly taken aback when Chris S showed up out of nowhere, compromising her alone time with Nayte. However, he insisted that they talk, so she took him aside to see the issue. Chris S explained that he felt his warning fell upon deaf ears and mentioned that he wasn't given any time. Michelle countered and told him that while he thought he was defending her, he spoke for her, which was the issue. As a woman of colour, Michelle wanted her voice to be heard and thus needed a partnered who supported what she had to say and wouldn't be the one to say it for her instead. Fans agreed with her train of thought entirely.
"If a man thinks he can speak for you so you don't have a reason to speak for yourself, DUMP HIM. Michelle wasn't going to be controlled by that little b***h Chris S. At least Nayte, Joe, & the other men respect her. #TheBachelorette" tweeted a fan. "Honest to god I got chills when Michelle talked about how as a POC Chris S voice is heard more than her own and I don't think that Chris S even has the maturity in him to understand that. #TheBachelorette" added another. "michelle: i want a man who is going to support me when i speak, not a man who is going to speak for me bachelor nation to chris: #TheBachelorette #TheBacheloretteABC" said a fan. "Michelle had zero time for the nonsense. She said Nayte's waiting for, see yourself out, Chris! #TheBachelorette #TheBacheloretteABC" chimmed in a user.

Fans were equally thrilled to see Nayte trust Michelle and her choices without interfering, seeing that it was not his place to comment. Even when Chris S interrupted their date, it almost seemed like Nayte was about to interrupt their conversation, but he only got up from his chair to sit back down and waited patiently for Michelle. "The juxtaposition of Nayte saying she can sniff out who doesn't belong there and Chris S. trying to make her feel bad for not listening to him says it all. Way to go Michelle #TheBachelorette" tweeted a fan. "i love that nayte was just sitting there giggling to himself while chris made a fool of himself lol #TheBachelorette" joked another. "Pretty impressed with Nayte in #TheBachelorette he could have cussed out Chris S but he chose the high road" added a fan.

Michelle asked Chris S to leave, seeing that there was a conflict of interest when the two of them understood what was best for her. Without much to say in his defence, Chris S left the show, making him the third person to do so prior to a rose ceremony.
How do you think Michelle handled the situation? Should Chris S have waited for another time to address the issue or would the outcome have been the same? Sound off below!
