'The Bachelorette': Fans mock Martin Gelbspan for looking like a boyband member

From calling him an *NSYNC member to a long lost Backstreet boy, fans were not thrilled with Martin's fashion choices

For Michelle Young, her season of 'The Bachelorette' is off to quite the dramatic start. Barely a few episodes in, and the drama seems to be never-ending for her. And while Michelle has constantly been worried about keeping her guard up, she has managed to be vulnerable in the hope of finding love.

Michelle has dealt with her fair share of issues, having handled Ryan Fox's playbook drama, to Joe Coleman's DM fiasco, Will Urena and Peter Izzo's battle and now Jamie Skaar questioning her character. But now, she is ready to put it all behind her. Or so she thinks.

With two solo dates and one group date on the cards, everyone was eyeing the solo date, in the hope of getting more one on one time with Michelle. This episode's first lucky man was Martin, who won a rose last episode during a group date. His general concern for her well-being seems to have touched Michelle, but they all found him sketchy for the men due to his friendship with Martin. The men on Michelle's season didn't seem like Martin and fans and echoed the same sentiment. 
"Yeah I don't trust Martin either or see what Michelle sees in him #TheBachelorette" tweeted a fan. "I could not give af less about the *NSYNC member look-a-like. Can he get sent home during the night portion? That'd be great, k thaaannkssss #TheBachelorette" added another. "I just wanna know who is telling this man that bleaching the top half of his head is where it's at bc stop that #TheBachelorette" tweeted another. "Every time i see Martin, i just think he just looks like a long lost member of the backstreet boys #TheBachelorette" pointed out a fan. 

While the couple went to a BMW race track, fans were too distracted by Martin's fashion choices and continuously called him on it. "No but seriously I feel like I just entered an episode of Floribama Shore with Martin in that shirt #thebachelorette #bachelorette" pointed out a fan. "I'm sorry — you can pack a whole wardrobe and you choose a cut off plaid shirt??? It's a no for me #TheBachelorette" added another. "Martin was my fav until he showed up to this one on one in a CUT SLEEVE shirt  #TheBachelorette" tweeted from 'The Bachelor' and 'Bachelor in Paradise' alumni, Tammy Ly. "Martin really made a conscious decision to wear this goofy-ass shirt on his date, smh  #TheBachelorette" added another.

Michelle and Martin's date was going well until Michelle brought up Jamie. Martin explained that while all the men branded him a 'snake', he doesn't think Jamie is bad. Michelle seemed taken aback as the issue was created between only her and Jamie, so for Martin to defend him was odd to her. During the second half of the date, Martin explained that he often comes off as blunt, even though that is not his intention. He mentioned that he's working on his communication. He explained that his parents, especially his father, were not good at communicating, which he picked up. He even spoke about how he can't cry in front of people and struggles with being vulnerable and showing emotion. Michelle appreciated his willingness to change and mentioned that she was glad he listens and implements change.
