'The Amazing Race' is a popular competitive reality TV show, that involves eleven teams in pairs, in a race all around the world. The great race is divided into a number of legs (specifically twelve; each episode covers all the events of each leg).

The winners of Season 32 of 'The Amazing Race', Will Jardell and James Wallington have officially tied the knot! The couple got married on December 3, 2021. It's exactly three years since the day Jardell went down on one knee to pop the big question to Wallington, on live TV when the two won the competition.

Their love story started way back in 2014 when Wallington was working on 'America's Next Top Model', while Jardell was just going to get chosen as a finalist on the CBS show.

A solid four and a half years later, they embarked on their 'Amazing Race' journey, which Jardell mentioned he knew from the very beginning, would be the backdrop for their official engagement!

He said, "I knew that I was going to do it while we were on the show, but James had no idea. I told the producers, 'I'm going to propose to James while we're running around the world', just because this show is his dream — childhood dream".

The public proposal went viral for obvious reasons, thereby also making the two the very first LGBTQ couple to get engaged on the competitive show. Wallington later said that the proposal "has inspired a really strong and positive response from members of the community".

In regard to their wedding details, Wallington said, "We do have some elements incorporated that are a tip of the hat to our experience on 'The Amazing Race' — like our bow ties are purple because we were the purple team. We're having a King Cake, not only because it's New Orleans culture, but also because we did King Cakes on the final leg of the 'Amazing Race'".

Season 33 of 'The Amazing Race' is scheduled to premiere on January 5, 2022
