Teri Copley denies John Stamos’ cheating claim, forgives him for treating her ‘like a dirty dish rag’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Teri Copley is speaking out about John Stamos’ allegation that she cheated on him with Tony Danza in the 1980s.
In a YouTube video, the model actress gave her side of the story and denied being unfaithful to the 'Full House star,' while tearing up on certain occasions.
How Teri Copley broke up with John Stamos
Copley said that she and Stamos had already broken up when the incident with Danza happened.
She explained that she ended their relationship, which lasted “about a year,” after Stamos’ mother, Loretta, called her and said, “Teri, I know that you love John, but don’t plan on marrying him because he has no intention of marrying you.”
“I thought he doesn’t love me,” Copley said. “I was young. I didn’t know how to communicate with him to tell him, you know, your mother told me you didn’t ever want to marry me," she said in the video.
What really happened with Tony Danza?
She claimed that she saw Danza on the cover of TV Guide and called him after reading that he “said that Teri Copley was the only girl that he’d ever loved.”
She said that Danza came over to her house, and that Stamos knocked on her door while Danza’s car was parked outside.
She denied Stamos’ version of the events, saying that she was “fully dressed” and that he did not find them in bed together.
“[He] just shook his head and looked at me like, ‘How could you?’ Well I looked at him and didn’t say anything either,” she said. “I just looked at him like, ‘What do you care?’”
“He certainly didn’t come in my house and find me in bed naked with a sheet over… I mean none of that happened,” she added.

She said that they remained friends and that she attended his mother’s funeral. "There was respect."
She expressed her hurt and surprise by his cheating allegations in his memoir, saying, “That’s not the John that I ever knew.”
She ended her video by forgiving John Stamos and wishing him well
She also shared that “seeing him carelessly throw me out there like a dirty dish rag for people to just make fun of" and “make all these assumptions” was "very hurtful and surprising to me.”
However, "... just from my heart, just transparent, what happened as I lived it, and just to say to John that I forgive you."
She added, “I forgive you, John. I prayed for you to get married and have a beautiful family and I'm so happy [for you]."
