Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine's kidnapping case might come to a close as the gang member who helped kidnap the rapper in July 2018 has now been sentenced to 24 years in prison, according to a report by TMZ. The felon, identified as Anthony "Harv" Ellison was sentenced on November 4 in a federal court in NYC for racketeering, kidnapping and assault charges for which he was convicted last October.

It is also being reported that Anthony, a member of Tekashi’s former group Nine Trey Bloods, was also sentenced to five years of supervised release in addition to his time behind the bars. Ellison’s sentence comes more than a year after his trial where Tekashi took the stand and identified Ellison as his kidnapper. Anthony was apparently nailed down by the cops, thanks to his various other crimes related with his gang.

Who is Anthony “Harv” Ellison?

According to the website United States Department of Justice, Anthony “Harv” Ellison has been identified by the court as a member of the gang Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. The 33-year-old convict along with other members and associates of the gang was involved in violence to retaliate against rival gangs, to promote the standing and reputation of the gang and to protect the group’s narcotics business.

The website further states that members and associates of Nine Trey enriched themselves by committing robberies and selling drugs, such as heroin, fentanyl, furanyl fentanyl, MDMA, dibutylone, and marijuana.

Nine Trey had a leadership structure divided into two parts — the Prison Lineup, which consists of incarcerated members, and the Street Lineup, which consists of members who are not incarcerated and Anthony Ellison was a high-ranking member of the Street Lineup.

TMZ had reported back in 2018 about Tekashi’s kidnapping details as spilled to them by a few sources. According to reports, the rapper was heading back home after filming a music video around 4 am in Brooklyn in July 2018 when another car pulled up and blocked the driveway. Three hooded gunmen got out of the car, grabbed Tekashi and knocked him unconscious by hitting him with a pistol.

If reports are to be believed, they apparently stole $750k worth jewellery and somewhere between $15k to $20k cash. Some of the footage of the entire incident was captured on camera which was used as evidence during the trial. According to TMZ, Tekashi's then-girlfriend was seen on camera handing over a bag of goods in exchange for Tekashi's safe return.
