'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans trolled after refuting ex David Eason's drug use allegations
OAK ISLAND, NORTH CAROLINA: Jenelle Evans' former husband, David Eason, reportedly 'accused' her of 'being a drug addict' throughout their relationship as they faced off in court on May 16. However, when the MTV star attempted to clear her reputation of the charge, few believed her reasoning.
According to The Ashley, David represented himself at a North Carolina court hearing alongside Jenelle to assess whether the protection order obtained by the reality star against her ex in March would be approved. According to a source, the North Carolina native questioned Jenelle on the stand for two and a half hours.
"David accused her of being a drug addict, and said that Jenelle has taken Xanax the whole time they’ve been together,” the insider revealed.
"Jenelle rebutted the claim that she’s a drug addict and said she was prescribed Xanax and has been taking it for the last three years to help with her esophagus spasms. She told the judge that if she gets nervous or anxious, it will flare up her esophagus spasms, and she will throw up.”
The insider went on, "David then asked Jenelle something like, So, you’re denying that you’ve been taking Xanax since we’ve been together? And Jenelle said, yes, only for the last three years or so."
Jenelle later responded to an X user who asked, "There’s an article talking about you being hooked on Xanax. True?"
She responded, "Funny thing is… I take them as prescribed so obviously there’s no problem."

A snapshot of the conversation found its way to Reddit, where fans asked, "Does she not realize that most people who suffer from substance abuse issues started with prescription meds?"
While another user claimed, "She’s honestly as thick as pig shit." One user further sighed, "Because people don't get addicted to prescribed medication, said no one ever. 🙄."
A fourth user wondered, "I mean if you truly weren't doing anything wrong why even comment on it . It's David saying shit because he has no lawyer. I mean even your mom doesn't like you was his defense? Lol. I mean I believe the Xanax thing but still. I wouldn't even draw attention to it if I wanted ppl to stfu about it."
One user also commented, "Who had in their bingo cards her esophageal spasms would return? Her doubling down on her usage is hilarious."
Another person asked, "Would a doctor prescribe Xanax to someone with substance abuse issues?"
'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans breaks down in court upon being asked about mother Barbara Evans
The hearing apparently became emotional when Jenelle's mother, Barbara Evans, was mentioned. "At one point when David was on the stand, Jenelle’s lawyer brought up some of the things David has texted Jenelle since the separation in February, which he felt was harassment," according to a source.
"Jenelle stated that David had texted her, ‘Even your mom hates you,’ or something like that."
David allegedly responded on the stand with "something along the lines of, ‘Doesn’t your mom say that she doesn’t like you?’”
"Jenelle immediately burst into tears," the source explained. "She said it was wrong for him to bring up the problems she’s having with her mom."
'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans granted six-month protective order against ex-David Eason
Jenelle was eventually given a six-month protective order against David, per The Ashley. "The reason it was granted basically was that the amount of times David texted or talked about Jenelle could count as harassment," a source told the outlet.
“The judge granted it on the fact that Jenelle’s lawyer specifically claimed it was harassment, because David constantly talks about her, whether it’s in texts or social media, or whatever. The restraining order was basically because they proved David was ‘harassing’ Jenelle.”
David Eason served with domestic violence protective order against 'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans
David was served with a domestic violence protection order on April 2, according to The US Sun. According to a source, Jenelle's original request for an emergency protective order was refused since the reality star's eldest son, Jace Evans, already had an order of protection against David.
She was allegedly warned that another proactive order would "not be considered emergent." According to the source, Jenelle then requested a hearing to get a civil no-contact order.
According to The US Sun, Jenelle filed for formal separation from David on February 23. She stated in court documents that they officially split on February 16, "with the intent that the separation be permanent."
The MTV alum claimed David's 'erratic' conduct, 'substance abuse' concerns, and reluctance to work as reasons for their breakup.
