Spoilers for 'Ted Lasso' Season 3 Episode 2

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The premiere episode of ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 has set a solid foundation for the rest of the edition and we know that it’s only going to get better with each passing episode. The series is filled with amazing characters and one such character is Trent Crimm (James Lance), a Football journalist, who has been writing about AFC Richmond for a while now. The first two editions saw him in a limited capacity, but the makers have finally elevated him to a main character because of something new that he is now trying to do.

So, in Episode 2, Coach Lasso enters Rebecca’s (Hannah Waddingham) office and sees the boss, sitting along with Higgins, Keeley, and Crimm. Rebecca tells Lasso that Crimm wants to write a book on AFC Richmond because he feels that the team has a story to tell. The boss says that the Manager of the team has the final authority over this and if he says yes, Crimm can write a book. Even though no one wants that, Lasso says that it would be good to have a book written on the team and says yes. As soon as Roy Kent gets to know that Crimm will now be following the team everywhere and spending time with them, he gets irritated and tells everyone that no one should even dare to tell him anything about themselves and the team.

Well, who would want to be enemies with Kent? No One.

So, everyone follows that, but Lasso feels that it’s becoming a nuisance. During the game against Chelsea, striker Jamie Tartt was going to share a strategy with his peers and suddenly everyone gets quiet just because Crimm entered the dressing room. Lasso talks to Kent and tells him to end this because it will cause them a major problem going ahead. Kent calls Crimm inside the dressing room and shows him a paper cutting in which Crimm had written a headline about Kent being an “overhyped” player. Kent made the journalist understand that his headline made him question his capabilities because he was just 17 when this piece came out.

Crimm apologized and told him that he was young as well and wanted to make a name for himself. They both smiled and said that we have one thing in common and that was that they were ready to do anything to make a name for themselves. Kent reaches the main dressing room and tells the players that they can start talking around the journalist.

Crimm was really happy and started taking notes for his book.
