NEWARK, NEW JERSEY: The 2023 MTV VMAs held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, may have been an absolute blast for Taylor Swift.

However, a "wedgie" moment from the 'Anti-Hero' hitmaker caught people's attention.

Numerous online users have been discussing "Taylor Swift did what at the VMAS" after her VMA "wedgie" moment went viral.

The VMAs were held on Tuesday, September 12, at the Prudential Center, where fans and other entertainers honored the season's top music videos and musicians.

Swift was up throughout Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's 'Bongos' performance, obscuring Ice Spice's view of the concert at one point.

She was even rapping while dancing to Lil Wayne's 'A Milli', per TMZ.

Swift's funny off-stage antics, however, were what everyone noticed.

The singer's footage was widely shared on social media, with her dance moves serving as one of the program's standout features.

Swifties are aware of how Swift shines at award ceremonies, but the 'Shake it Off' singer looked chaotic while dancing at the VMAs.

Fans said that Taylor was ostensibly "feeling herself" as she danced and lost herself in the music.

Swift was seen dancing in her seat throughout practically every performance.

The 'Enchanted' singer could be seen entirely engrossed in dancing in one portion of her dance video that was released by a user on X, and looking "awkward" during her "wedgie" moment.

A user who posted the clip asked, "TAYLOR SWIFT DID WHAT AT THE VMAS."

Another fan asked, "But why is he dancing like that .. " One user said, "Some how even when she’s akward she’s not akward." 

"She was feeling herself and i’m so here for it," a user noted. While another wrote, "Still trying to figure out what she did."

A person said, "They said 'She’s this generations Michael Jackson.'" Another fan claimed, "Idk what that dance is but she hit that." "Just dancing and having a good time," noted another.

Swift won Video of the Year for 'Anti-Hero' from 'Midnights'. "This is unbelievable. The fact that this is a fan-voted award means so much to me," the singer stated in her victory speech.

She took home nine of the 11 awards she was nominated for, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. 

How many VMAs has Taylor Swift won?

Along with nine more awards, Swift has won 23 VMAs in total, surpassing Beyonce (16) and Madonna (20).
