Taylor Swift's recent outing with rumored fiancé Joe Alwyn got everyone talking as she was spotted without a ring on her finger. This comes after The Sun report which claimed that Taylor and Alwyn had got engaged a few months ago.
According to rumors, Taylor has already accepted an engagement proposal from the 'Conversations With Friends' actor though it is not clear when they are planning to tie the knot. But recently, when the couple were spotted hanging out in London, the paparazzi noted that Taylor wasn't wearing any engagement ring.

Is there any truth to engagement rumors?
Previously, The Sun reported that Taylor only wears her engagement ring "behind closed doors" when she's "at home", quoting an inside source. The couple have reportedly only told their inner circle of close-knit friends and family about their alleged engagement. Even though Taylor was not wearing the ring for her London outing, the claims of their engagement breaking off is reportedly untrue as Taylor Swift apparently never wears her engagement ring in public. However, neither of them have officially confirmed the engagement either.
A source close to the couple said they don't want media attention and that their nuptials will “most definitely” be held far away from the media glare. The source claimed that Taylor's wedding will be "simple and elegant.”

Taylor and Joe first met at the 2016 Met Gala separately. During that time, the 'Blank Space' singer was dating Calvin Harris, although he did not attend the event. Since they first started dating, Taylor and Joe kept their romance under wraps but rumor mills have been abuzz with their engagement rumors over the years.
Joe was quoted saying to WSJ. Magazine that if he and Taylor were indeed engaged he “wouldn’t say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn’t say.” He neither confirmed nor denied the news.

In a rare instance, Joe revealed in May 2022 to GQ Magazine of how he and Taylor 'accidentally' began writing songs together.
Working under the pseudonym William Bowery, Joe is credited with her 2020 albums, 'Folklore' and 'Evermore'. He revealed that it was fun and he appreciated the positive response their collaboration received from listeners.
