'Taylor Swift 2024!' Fans rejoice as Alyssa Farah Griffin claims only singer can defeat Trump in 2024
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The View' cohost and a fierce critic of Donald Trump, Alyssa Farah Griffin has stirred the excitement of Swifties and political enthusiasts alike by declaring that Taylor Swift is "the only person" capable of defeating the ex-president in a potential 2024 re-election bid.
Griffin, known for her past roles in the Trump administration, made the bold statement during a recent episode of 'The View: Under the Table' podcast on Monday, October 2.
Alyssa Farah Griffin on Taylor Swift vs Donald Trump
During a conversation about the extensive media coverage of Taylor's romantic involvement with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Griffin took a playful dig at Trump.
"This ends in one way. We are all Taylor Swift fans, and, to be honest, if Donald Trump looks like he’s going to win, she’s just going to need to get in the race and defeat him once and for all because she’s probably the only person who can," she said. The remark was met with laughter from the podcast's participants.
Executive producer Brian Teta swiftly redirected the conversation by saying, "There you go, there you go," back to the topic of Taylor's romance, but Griffin's assertion had already captured the attention of Swifties and political observers.
Griffin has been an outspoken critic of Trump since her appearance on 'The View' in July 2022. In April of that year, she declared, "I'll never vote for Trump again. I’ve been clear on that. I would tend to write in. I don’t think I should have to change my Republican values because two parties are putting up options that I don’t like,” as per New York Post.
Expressing regret for her role as Trump's director of strategic communications and assistant to the president in 2020, Griffin has not shied away from criticizing her former employer. Trump, in his characteristic manner, responded to her critiques earlier this year by employing a slew of nicknames, including "sleazebag," "loser," and "backbencher."
'Swift 2024!'
Internet users undoubtedly envision a bright future for Taylor. A user tweeted, "Is there anything that Taylor Swift can't do?" Another added, "Swift 2024."
A third mocked, "Kind of reminds me of when the Beatles said they were more popular than Jesus." Someone else claimed, "Technically she would be 35 by inauguration so she’s eligible…" "Honestly, f**k it, let's make it happen, she's done more to stimulate economic growth than anyone else," read a tweet.
