Hembrow is currently expecting her third child with fiance and rugby player Matt Poole and has two more children, son Wolf, 6, and daughter Saskia, 5, with her ex-partner Reece Hawkins, who was also a fitness influencer. “When you’re done being pregnant,” the influencer, pregnant mum captioned her post.

“What in the? I didn’t know you could do that,” an amazed follower wrote. “Baby, how are you?" asked a concerned viewer.

Another one wrote, “Legitimate question…wouldn’t that be bad for the baby? Like suddenly out of nowhere tightening everything up…have any studies been done on the shock?"

Hembrow cleared all concerns of her fans and responded to the worried masses, reassuring them that the trick was all part of her exercise routine. “Strengthening your core like this is actually recommended throughout pregnancy, especially since I train a lot,” she wrote. “Bubby is doing great!” She replied to another, “I have to do it when I’m working out, it’s super good for your heart to do it throughout pregnancy.”

Tammy's physical fitness and her tight abs created the illusion by making her core muscles stiff, so when she inhales her chest expands, her internal organs, including her uterus with baby inside, move slightly upward into her rib cage. The move shows how weightlifters and physical trainers pose to make their upper body appear taller and bigger while flattening their abdomen.

Research has proved that core exercises are safe to do during pregnancy. “Strong abdominal muscles support your spine,” Better Health Victoria says in its guidelines for exercising during pregnancy. The guidelines further state, “Appropriate core stability exercises are recommended during pregnancy to strengthen the muscles of the abdomen."
