Gary Barlow, the frontman of what was once Britain's biggest band Take That, is now venturing to the seas for the next leg for his career. The 48-year-old crooner has announced he will be working with P&O Cruises to serve as their musical brand ambassador, Wales Online reports.

The band has been operating for years without Robbie Williams, who has gone on to cement a succesful solo career over time.

Those lucky enough to board the cruise, which is slated to visit the Norwegian Fjords, Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands, will also have the opportunity to meet the singer on board in person. “I’m very pleased to announce that I'll be coming aboard P&O Cruises Iona this year as Musical Director!" Barlow announced on social media Wednesday, alongside a clip of himself playing the piano. “Here's to making more music and memories with you.”

Unsurprisingly, the announcement sent Take That fan army into a frenzy. "I love this video! I love your hands, You're so beautiful! I could hear you forever !!!! I love you," one wrote.

"Wow, amazing news and what a clip," and "Aye Aye Captain Barlow! Your GB Army crew is ready and waiting to help you board for this adventure! Xxx," others wrote.

That said, this is a solo enterprise for Gary, who will not be joined by bandmates Howard Donald and Mark Owen. “We are immensely proud to have someone of Gary’s stature and talent working with us as brand ambassador and we look forward to revealing more exciting details on Gary’s role very soon," said P&O Cruises President Paul Ludlow.

Meanwhile, other prominent personalities who have also become brand ambassadors for the cruise company include Blur guitarist Alex James, Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood, and comedian Rob Brydon. Privileged passengers on the cruise can also enjoy cooking masterclasses with chef Marco Pierre White and master pâtissier Eric Lanlard. Furthermore, sommeliers can also take lessons from wine master Olly Smith, who is slated to host a series of drinks events on the cruise.
