Who is Tabari Grubbs? 'Teen Mom’ star Kailyn Lowry shares photo of shirtless man cooking with son Lux
Teen Mom’s Kailyn Lowry recently shared a Boomerang photo of a shirtless man cooking with her son, Lux. This came to light after the MTV star recently split with her on-again, off-again third baby daddy, Chris Lopez, before they welcomed their second child together few months ago.
Kailyn has always had a contentious relationship with Chris. The couple split just before their first son, Lux, 3, was born. They just had their second child, Creed, together on July 30, 2020. Kailyn and Chris were not on great terms leading up to Creed’s birth. ‘Teen Mom’ fans thought it was convenient for Kailyn to post the Boomerang photo on her Instagram story as it might spite her ex.
The man in question is Tabari Grubbs, 26, an amateur MMA fighter out of Fort Worth, Texas. Grubbs, in a photo, appears to be together with Kailyn's longtime friend, Sterling Black. Grubbs further reposted the photo on his own Instagram handle where he describes himself as “Arkansas born, Missouri Raised, New Mexico Made.” Grubbs is a religious man as he also writes, “God first, family second,” on his Instagram biography. The MMA fighter also has many pictures with his fiancee, Sterling, as he proposed to her in August last year. He posted an image of them kissing on and captioned it, “Something amazing happened last night can you tell the difference cheers to forever my love.”
Earlier in 2019 there were shocking rumours circulating on Twitter about Kaylin and Grubbs' nature of relationship. On a candid YouTube video called 'Assumptions About Me', Kayling addressed to a question from a fan asking if she had slept with her best friend’s boyfriend. “I don’t know why I need to address this because I was once told, if it doesn’t apply, let it fly … but the Twitter trolls came after me for this so hard for so long and I’m about to clear this the f–k up,” the MTV alum said. Kailyn assured fans the answer is 100 percent “no”.
Kaylin has said on multiple occasions that she wishes Chris was more supportive when she was pregnant with Lux and just after she gave birth to their first child. She wrote in her book, ‘A Letter of Love’, “I didn’t wake up one morning and decide that I was going to cut Chris out of our lives. There are reasons why I feel the way that I do. Just because he has a biological connection to the baby, doesn’t mean he’s best for the baby. I do all of the hard work; I’m up with him at all hours of the night. I’m bringing him everywhere I go.”
She continued: “Why should I give up my holidays or other milestones with our child? I shouldn’t because I take on all of the responsibilities; therefore, I feel like I should get all of the rewards.”
