The actor's empire includes bi-coastal homes in Los Angeles and Coconut Grove in Miami and he recently put his golf club home in La Quinta, California, on sale
Sylvester 'Sly' Stallone snuck a sweet spot in fans' hearts with his record-breaking role in 'Rocky', which earned him two Oscar nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor. From the iconic 'Rambo' to 'Demolition Man' and 'Creed', his stalwart performances made him the beloved leading man. But, there's more to Stallone than his epic four-decade career in the entertainment industry.
The actor splashes his artistic side in his stunning La Quinta mansion with elegant decor and an ornate set of paintings. The actor's empire includes bi-coastal homes in Los Angeles and Coconut Grove in Miami and he recently put his golf club home in La Quinta, California, on sale for $3.35M. Stallone bought the property for $4.5M in January 2010 and previously listed it in 2015 for $4.1M. Reportedly, he had an offer in April 2016 but while he was looking for backup offers, the sale fell through. Public records reveal that the property was taken off the market in September 2016.
La Quinta has been the host city for a number of prestigious golf tournaments over the years including The American Express, formerly known as the Bob Hope Desert Classic. Not just golf courses, the Los Angeles suburban is also the spot where Frank Capra penned down the screenplay for 'Lost Horizons' in 1937 while lounging poolside at the La Quinta Resort & Club.
Stallone’s four-bedroom, five-bath, 4,889-square-foot home reflects Italian ancestry with its old-world Mediterranean style and Caribbean island touches. Not just that, the mansion includes double-wooden front doors, walled patio entry, inside rooms that open to the outdoors and a vaulted foyer.
A celebrity hot spot, the area has attracted superstars like Kanye and Kim Kardashian-West, Tom Brady and Kylie Jenner. Stallone's mesmerizing home boasts of an arched entrance into a two-storey, beamed-ceiling living room with fireplace and multiple conversation areas.
A formal dining room opens to the rear terrace and is connected to the large eat-in island kitchen, the outdoor dining spaces as well as the courtyard. With floors of hardwood and tile, the major attractions include coved ceilings and arched entryways.
A classic home for entertainment, warmth and a luxurious lifestyle, it has a wine room and an outdoor kitchen on private terraces. The master suite also has a fireplace, a television that rises at the foot of the bed, large master bath, dressing room and another private terrace with exotic views of the mountains.
Outside past the firepit and just steps off the terrace across the grass is a lovely pool and spa, lush plantings, water features and a rock-strewn flowing stream that runs across the property.
