Susan Sarandon reveals family secrets on ex-husband Chris Sarandon's podcast 'Cooking by Heart'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Susan Sarandon recently opened up about her family secrets in the latest episode of the podcast ‘Cooking by Heart.’
The show is hosted by her ex-husband Chris Sarandon whom she was married to from 1967 to 1979.
Recalling that period, the star revealed that her mother Lenora Criscione Tomalin was pregnant at the time and her father Phillip Tomalin "hooked up with one of the bridesmaids so it was a very successful trip."

Susan's mother was pregnant during her wedding to Chris Sarandon
The 76-year-old said that her mother “was just basically pregnant all the time," and "had a number of miscarriages."
Lenora died in 2020 while Phillip died in 1999. Susan spoke about her mother’s pregnancy at the time of her wedding. "I think she was embarrassed, She was 44," said Susan.
When asked about his relationship with Susan, Chris told People, "We both have very strong feelings for that part of our lives and how those formative relationships are always important, and you can't leave them behind totally."
The ‘Princess Bride’ star added, "You have to revisit them sometimes — if not in nostalgia, more in the sense of, yeah, there was love there, and it still exists on a different level. It's not romantic love, but still there's love there."
Chris Sarandon still admires Susan's evolution as a person
The 81-year-old called his ex-wife "an extraordinary human being."
"Her evolution as both an actress and as a social activist has been so extraordinarily heartening in many ways to me, because obviously I knew her when, and to see that occur in such a healthy and humanitarian way, humanistic way, is very gratifying," he said.
"I knew she was a terrific person when we were together, and she's still a terrific person. She's a wonderful person," Chris continued.
Susan is mother to actress Eva Amurri, 38, whom she shares with Italian director Franco Amurri. She also shares children with actor Tim Robbins, director Jack Henry Robbins, 34, and actor/musician Miles Robbins, 31.
The Oscar winner told the outlet on finding her forever adventure partner, "I would like to have a travel companion, male, female — age doesn't matter."
She added, "But I would like to find someone who's up for an adventure kind of attitude. And also, who cares about something passionately and who loves what they do, whatever that is."
"In terms of a romantic relationship, I don't know," Susan further said, adding, "That window may have closed, but I'm forever hopeful — but not desperate."
