Linda Evangelista makes modeling comeback with Fendi after FAT-FREEZING disaster
The modeling world has often faced criticisms for promoting a false sense of beauty. The industry pushes its models to go beyond limits just to maintain their looks. Even big names like Vogue have been pulled down earlier when a few models revealed their bizarre diets before their runway shows.
The supermodel from the 1980s, Linda Evangelista, is a living example of the repercussions models have to face to keep their job. The supermodel who once said that she refused to wake up for less than $10,000 a day is now insecure that designers may not want to dress her up. Recently, she cleared the air on why she has been missing in action for five years, whereas the careers of her peers have been thriving. She said, "I don't think designers are going to want to dress me with that," referring to the present condition she is suffering from after her cosmetic surgery.

Linda tried fat freezing and faced the consequences of the process. She is now 'brutally disfigured' as she was diagnosed with Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH). The condition is very rare, and less than one percent of patients who opt for the procedure face these side effects. It thickens the affected fatty tissue, eventually expanding after freezing.
After the procedure, Linda noticed bulges forming under her chin, thighs, and around the breast area. Her doctor told her that "no amount of dieting, no amount of exercise was ever going to fix it." Evangelista filed a lawsuit against the parent company of Coolsculpting, Zeltiq, and sued the company for $50 million in damages. She said that she has been unemployed after she underwent seven sessions of the freezing procedure from August 2015 to February 2016.

Talking about her bulges, Evangelista said they are protrusions and hard. She added, "If I walk without a girdle in a dress, I will have chafing to the point of almost bleeding. Because it's not like soft fat rubbing, it's like hard fat rubbing." The supermodel also pointed out how her condition is also affecting her posture.
However, the supermodel is now all set to re-start her career with Italian luxury fashion house Fendi. Linda will be spotted in a new ad campaign for the company. On Saturday, Fendi shared the news on Twitter along with a shot of the supermodel. The tweet read, "On September 9 2022 #Fendi will host a special fashion show in New York City to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the #FendiBaguette, designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, and two years since Kim Jones joined the Maison as Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear."
