Who is Imaan Hammam, Drake's rumored love interest?
Is Drake dating supermodel Imaan Hammam? Recently, the Canadian rapper was spotted at the Nike fashion show as part of New York Fashion Week on February 6 night.
Following the presentation, the 33-year-old rapper was reportedly seen kissing the 23-year-old beauty at the Flur Room on February 7 morning. The 'God's Plan' singer has been linked to Hammam in the past as well and he has often liked her posts on Instagram. The Dutch model has appeared on the cover of American Vogue three times.
Hammam was born in Amsterdam to an Egyptian father and a Moroccan mother. In an interview, Hammam sheds light on her heritage and roots, saying, “I’m half Moroccan, half Egyptian, and I was born in Amsterdam. I’m Muslim, and I’m super-proud of my heritage and of my roots. I want to be a role model for young girls who are struggling with racism or struggling with their looks or with their skin color."
She looks up to Naomi Campbell as a black powerful woman and wants to open doors for more Arabic girls in the business. In the same interview, she said, “but there aren’t many Arabic models, and being an African-Arabic model, I’m trying to open doors for more Arabic girls.”
One of the top models on models.com's 'Top 50 Models' and 'Top Sexiest Models' lists, she has walked the runways for several luxury brands, including Burberry, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Hugo Boss, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Balenciaga, Hermés, Tommy Hilfiger and Dior.
In April 2016, Hammam won Couturesque Magazine's Model of the Year competition and is also an ambassador for H&M's collections.
Hammam was first discovered in Amsterdam's Central Station by an agent from CODE Management in 2010 and is currently signed with DNA Model Management in New York, VIVA Model Management in Paris, London, and Barcelona, Why Not Model Management in Milan, and CODE Management in Amsterdam.
While there is no confirmation on their relationship status, both Drake and Hammam haven't been reported to be dating anyone else.
