'Supergirl' actors Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood tied the knot Sunday in Ojai, California, at a private estate and the actors' friends from The CW,  Kevin Smith, Odette Annable and Paul Wesley were present at the wedding. According to a report in E! News, a source was quoted as saying, "It was a beautiful setting for a wedding very peaceful and quiet. The vows were brief and lasted about 15 minutes. There was lots of cheering and applause as it ended."

The source continued about the reception that was held in an adjacent grove of trees and said, "There were lots of glowing candles and lights strung above. The food was served family-style and everyone passed the dishes back and forth. It looked like an elegant outdoor dinner party. There was a lot of laughter and happiness."

The wedding took place six months after the couple announced their engagement on social media with a picture of Benoist being kissed by Wood. She had captioned the picture, "Yes yes yes it will always be yes."

Wood played Benoist's love interest in The CW show 'Supergirl' and that is also how the actors met. Their relationship became a thing of speculation until the two were spotted packing on the public displays of affection during a trip in Mexico in March 2017.

Benoist was previously married to her 'Glee' co-star Blake Jenner. The two had married in 2013 and then in 2016, Benoist filed for divorce which was finalized in 2017.

Benoist will return as Kara Danvers in season 5 of 'Supergirl' on The CW which is slated to premiere on October 6.
